General Info

i have The Sims Complete Collection. it is possible that if you do not have all EP's that some of my objects may not work for you. i try to choose bases that will work for everyone, and if i know that a certain object requires an EP i will list it with the download. Please keep in mind that if you use Sim Catagorizer to check for EP requirements, it is not always correct, especially in the case of objects I've made on bases by Turbo at The Coconut Hut and Raeven from The Secret Society of Woobsha. often times these wonderful creators make bases that can be used with the base game, but still retain functions of higher EP's for those that have them, this is usually why something show's in Sim Catagorizer as requiring an EP that i haven't listed. 

as is the case with all custom content, downloading and using any file from my site is done at your own risk. all files have been tested by myself and sometimes others, and worked fine in those games. this may not be the case for your game. should crashes or other undesirable effects occur in  your game simply remove the file and the game should return to normal. i am not responsible for any undesired effects resulting from the use of these files. 

Installation Info

all .iff files should be installed into the sims/downloads folder.

all .cmx, and .skn and associated .bmp files should be installed into the sims/game data/skins folder. do not use subfolders or the skins will not show up.

all floor (.flr) files should be installed into the sims/game data/floors folder.

all wall (.wll, or word addon) files should be installed into the sims/game data/walls folder.

all roof .bmp files should be installed into the sims/game data/roofs folder. do not use subfolders or the roofs will not appear in your catalog.

PLEASE be sure to read all readme and .txt files included in any zip. it may contain special installation instructions that must be followed in order for the object to work.

Cloning Policy

all files by aponee found here or at my Yahoo! Group are free to clone, eat, mangle and molest creatively in any way you see fit, provided that it is done for free and that i have not used another creators base. if i have used another creators base the cloning policy of that creator must be followed. Any gifts at My House Forum, either by myself, or by another creator may not be cloned without obtaining permission from the creator first, unless the gift topic or readme clearly gives such permission

File Sharing

Group are file share friendly through email and open membership forums provided they are shared for free. any gifts given to me that are offered here or at my Yahoo! Group are NOT file share friendly without first getting the permission of the creator of those files. Any gifts at My House Forum either by myself, or by another creator may not be shared outside of the forum, which is open membership, without obtaining permission from the creator first, unless the gift topic or readme clearly gives such permission.

The Big Question Answered

i've recieved alot of emails, nothing nasty, just curious, asking why i make objects that are not always animated, like food trays that i love so much to do, or why i make semi-working, or purely deco objects, instead of fully working objects.

the answer is quite simple. among the small community that i know through the sims, it's about a 50/50 split, between people who actually play the game, and those who only build and decorate. making my objects the way i do is a compromise to ensure that each group gets something useful from the same object.

i would like to thank those that emailed me with this question for being courteous and polite. it's quite inspiring to me, especially when i hear that so many other, more talented and wonderful creators than i, get more negative feed back than anything else.
